Frequently Asked Questions *

What should I expect in therapy?

Therapy is a collaborative process where you don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Each session is a space to slow down, explore what's coming up for you, and better understand your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. Therapy is meaningful work, and lasting growth often happens both inside and outside of our sessions. There may be times I'll encourage you to reflect, practice new skills, or approach situations differently between appointments. While the process isn't always easy, you won't have to navigate it alone.

What is your therapeutic style?

My therapeutic style is warm and collaborative. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable showing up as you are, without fear of judgment. I believe therapy is a partnership, so we'll work together to explore your experiences, better understand the patterns that shape your life, and identify what feels most important to you. I tailor each session to your unique needs, drawing from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Psychodynamic Therapy. For clients who desire it, I also thoughtfully integrate Christian faith into the therapeutic process.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. I am currently in-network with Aetna and Blue Cross Blue Shield. If I am out-of-network with your plan, I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement varies by plan, so I recommend checking with your insurance provider about your out-of-network benefits.

What if I don’t have insurance?

No problem. Many clients choose to pay privately for sessions. My standard rate is $160 per 50-55 minute session.

Do I need to be a Christian to work with you?

No. I welcome clients from all backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences. Faith integration is available for clients who desire a Christian approach to therapy, but it is completely optional. Our work together will always respect your beliefs, values, and what feels meaningful to you.
